Jordan was still dressed in his black striped suit and open chest white dressed shirt. He had quickly found himself back at his Manor after is meeting with Celeste, well, whom he thought was Celeste. He opened the door and slammed it quickly, shouting from the downstairs living room to his brother.
"Aaron!" He shouted as he summoned their Book to the table. He sat ever so uncomfortably as he was at the edge of the chair flipping through page after page of entries trying to find some clue as to what had happened to the girl he once knew. "Aaron!" He shouted once more, hoping that this time his stubborn little brother would realize that this was important and that he didnt need any of his little backtalk this time.
"Gad Darnit! Aaron Pryce!" He said as he stood to his feet, feeling the vibration of his voice hitting him back.

Aaron walked downstairs, half naked, a towel around his wet waist, another in his hand, drying his black hair which he had recently trimmed. He turned in the hallway and stood in the wide door frame of the living room, looking at his brother as if he finally found the right time for Aaron to call the mental institution. He shook his head and was about to turn and walk back upstairs for the spite of it but marriage made him more...caring about his brother so he turned back to him and looked at him with raised eyebrows. "When I guy takes a shower, and is washing his hair, and his privates, he enjoys that moment of privacy, that moment where he can just wash away the stains of the day and just go about the rest of it clean..and refreshed. Are you getting me? Or is that education of yours finally gone to waste." He asked Jay as he leaned against the door frame, staring at his brother and for once, he noticed that Jordan didn't seem in the mood to deal snappy returns, he looked beyond tense, he was thinking about something that was troubling him...hence why he had the Book. He leaned up off the frame, and approached Jay and for the first time in too long, he was feeling sympathetic, he even stopped drying his hair. "Dude, what's wrong? Why you freaking out?"

Jordan knew that Landon was probably overseas again, and trying to reach him would be even more difficult than reaching his brother. Just as expected, Aaron approached with the favors of brotherly love; the snappy dont-miss-with-me attitude that always caused Jordan to snap back. But this time, Aaron's words bounced off his back and fell to the ground as though he never said a word. "It's Celeste." He said as he stood straight up, levitating the book over the table so that he was now facing his brother and the book at the same time.
"I dont know what happened to her, but I think she was possessed or something. Something most terrible." Jordan said frantically. Jordan never openly admitted his love for Celeste, never really telling Celeste herself about the feelings. But he didnt know if he could hold back his feelings this time when he could lose her to herself.

"Something most terrible? Who the hell talks like that?" He asked but he shut himself up after Jay shot him the worlds nastiest stare. "Ok, ok...sorry, you just..." Fooling around was what he meant to add. He remained silent and looked at what Jay had become. He had always had a thing for Celeste, anyone could see it. So what if he had other girls, mention Celeste's name back them and he'd melt, but she had disappeared for a while, guess she was back now. "Why would you think she's possessed? Because she acts different now? Jay, people change, alright, it's been a really long while since you or I've seen here...frankly, I thought she'd be dead like everyone else we know." Aaron said, figuring he probably hit a nail on the head. "What kept her alive all this time? I mean...does she still look the same?"

Jordan flicked his wrist sending a bolt of lightening towards his brother. He was so difficult to work with. Landon was right, you just couldn't take Aaron seriously. "Shut--you know what?" Jordan stated as he crashed down into the chair that was behind him, allowing the Book to fall into his lap. "You somehow think I'm joking right?" He said now not looking at his disgusting looking bare chest or damp black hair that he was known for. "It's Celeste! I know Celeste when I see Celeste don't I? I dont know how she survived either, probably just the way we did."

Aaron orbed and the bolt of lightning surged through his orbs and hit something, probably in the kitchen. He looked back as if expecting to see where it had it. "Hey!" He shouted out, watching him as he dropped down on the couch. "I'm wet...that was lightning...what kind of ass are you? You could have killed me...but I bet you don't care." He said. He eyed Jay for a second then scoffed. "Should have figured...you couldn't care less whether I was alive or not...we've shared a house for too many years and you barely speak or acknowledge me...but when someone comes along, you give that person more attention that you give your own brothers...the only reason you called me down here, was for me to hear you go on about something different about Celeste. I bet you don't even know the name of your own niece. You know what, screw you...do whatever shit you need to do by yourself, better yet, ask Celeste, who better right?" He he said. So what if he was being petty, at least he wasn't being selfish and pig-headed like his brother...and it was all true and he knew it...he just didn't care, yet, Aaron stood there, a towel around his neck, arms folded, looking down at this sorry excuse for family.

Jordan closed the book, sitting down in the chair he laughed at his brother. Jordan had realized Aaron's tactic. Whenever he needed him or actually wanted to talk to him, he would come down from his room with another thing to throw into his face. But he wouldn't fall for it this time. Aaron knew that Celeste was one of his closest, if not the closest, of his friends. Further, it went without saying that she was also a family friend. Jordan continued to be amused at his brother standing almost half naked in front of him with merely a towel wrapped around him shouting to the top of his lungs about another set of garbage.
"You know," He said calming himself from his laughter, "I finally get you." He said as he stood to his feet, resting the book down on the table center. "I finally see that the way you want our relationship to grow is through yet another argument." Jordan said as he chuckled. He would summon an elder and find out what was going on here, it was clear that the Pryce Book had nothing in it that he needed. If only Landon was here, he knew where to find these things always.

"You can laugh you flippin' head off...but you can't just own to the fact that you never wanted our relationship to grow." He said, more than offended at how amused Jay looked, even more by that chuckle he gave. "You never gave a shit about me...but if you did, you never showed it...how could you have when you're always saying some shit to me just to put us at arms length...the only thing different about today is that someone you really care about might be in danger or some crap like that." He glared at Jay then turned his back and headed upstairs, finishing drying off his head as he burst into his room slamming it behind him. He sat down on his bed then just sighed loudly, looking at the reflection of his head in the mirror. Gawd how he hated Jordan...yet, he still loved him. As bad a relationship he had with his brother, he was there more than Landon, and he still was. He held his head back and gave another sight then he got up, stripped his towel off and dressing in a pair of boxers, blue jeans, a black t-shirt and slipped on a pair of white socks and made his way back down to the living room where Jay still remained with that Book. "How do you know she's possessed?" He asked, leaning against the door frame.

Jordan shook his head, knowing that Aaron was just having, yet another, diva moment. Landon was right, maybe him having children and getting married was not the right thing for him to do so quickly when he had these 'moments.' Jordan now understood not to engage in them, just to wait and let Aaron wear off and come to his senses. Afterall, they were all in this together and it was absolutely necessary that they found the best way for them to find common ground, even if that was agreeing to disagree.
He wouldn't allow anyone stop him from saving Celeste. He was not use to playing hero so this was much more difficult than he thought, pacing bak and forth after Aaron's door slammed, knowing that he would probably have to work this thing alone. He sighed, running his hands through his hair and saying a secret prayer to himself before he heard Aaron's voice once more echo through the room.
"She just doesnt remember anything." He said as he looked up at her, hoping that he hadnt seen him in his most vulnerable state. "It was like she was in a daze or something, you know?"

Aaron stared at him in complete silence. He really did not like Jordan, he really didn't and he didn't think his feelings would change anytime soon. Yes he loved his brother, but that's as far as it really went, love for his brother and in truth, he only managed this long because he was afraid of breaking the memory of his parents...it was sad to think that it took their deaths to bring them both together, that thought along made him feel guilty for ignoring his brother's in their early years but even with that over his head, he still did not like Jordan, and he didn't think he ever really would, there was too much tension between him and this self centred, smart ass prick. "Because she doesn't remember anything and because she's dazed doesn't make her possessed. Maybe whatever preserved her is taking it's effect...or maybe someone wiped her memory...but you can write a spell and cast it on her to reveal a presence hidden inside of her. If she'd directly or indirectly possessed, you should see it in her eyes, there's a spell in the book, twelve pages after the middle." Aaron said as he grabbed a magazine and sat down on the coffee table. "You'd do best to invite her other and find out, 'cause if she is possessed, you should move quick before she does some damage...or, before some damage is done to her." He said as he started to flip through the pages.

Jordan was slightly annoyed with Aaron's relaxation in this situation. He picked up the book and flipped to the proper page. He began to read over the spell before closing the book shut. "Oh, so now I got to befriend her all over again if this doesnt work?" Jordan stated as he allowed his head to hit the back of the chair, covering his face with the pillow. "You know what, I'll just invite her over." He said as he threw the pillow at Aaron. Jordan knew he had a way with the ladies and if he could get Celeste to come back to the Manor, he would be able to examine her more thoroughly. Besides, this house held more memories than even they could remember.

"Well what do you expect Jordan." He said abruptly. Aaron stared at the impossibility he called a brother, who, even now, thought at everything came this easy in life, that everything was always simply cut and dry, no strings attached but they were somethings in life that you just had to settle with. "Would you rather lose her completely or would you just start all over. You've been apart for so long it wouldn't seem bad to just start over. Get to know the things about her that you didn't know before...make her fall in love with you over again and enjoy it. It's not like you lost her...she's still there for you." Aaron paused for a second, then he opened his mouth to speak but the phone ran. Seen as Jordan was closer he looked to his older brother but just like Jordan, he didn't make notice of having heard the phone so he got to his feet and grudgingly answered it himself. "Hello, Pryce Residents, Aaron Pryce here." He answered "Hello, good morning Mr. Pryce. This is Angie Hekers from the-" "- L.A. Times Board of Management, yeah I remember you. Is there something I can help you with I already mailed in my resignation...a long time ago, a really long time ago actually." "I beg your pardon?" She asked, her her shock was evident. "You are the Aaron Pryce from...so long ago, well that's impossible." "Uh....uh...um, no...I'm, his great-great grandson, named me after Aaron...something I can help you with Mrs. Hekers?" Aaron asked her and rather impatiently, and he sensed that she noticed that turn in his voice. "It's Ms. Hekers, i took over my great-grandmother's position, more like I was pushed into it, it's impossible how families just get on you and ride you in directions you just don't want-" "Ms. Hekers, I understand you, believe me, but I'm rather busy and I'm wondering if you could, in any way possible, get to the point." "Oh...well, yes, I'm sorry. Well, your ancestor never sent in his resignation, officially, he's still the Editor-in-chief of the newspaper seeing as no one bothered to fire him in the last few centuries or so...why that didn't happen is beyond me, but don't worry, they have been stand-ins. I'm just calling to let you know that-" "Umm, is the job still open?" He asked curiosuly. "What?" "The job, as Editor, is it still open...available, unoccupied." "Well, we have a stand-in at current but she's set to go on maternity leave soon so i guess that it is open yes." "Well, I have the exact same qualifications as my grandad or whatever.." "What?" The poor woman asked in confusion. "And I want to know if I can have the job?" "Uh...well, yes of course, once you send in an application and come to the scheduled interview it should be fine." "Thanks Ms. Hekers." Then he hung up before she could get in another confused word. He knew when the time came, explaining why he didn't resign a thousand years ago was going to be difficult, but he couldn't understand why his letter didn't go through and why no one sought to fire him after all these years. He remained there, silently looking at the numbers on the phone for quite some minutes then he was snapped out of it when a letter was orbed in front of him. He looked up instinctively then he ripped open his letter and there it was, his resignation...the gem. Preserved him...turns out it preserved every aspect of him, including the career he loved so much as well as the people he loved so much. "Ok...that is creepy." He said, dropping the letter on the counter before he turned and headed back into the room. "The phone's free...you can call Celeste...i think you and I can do a good enough spell without Landon...right?" He said, hopeful his brother had cooled down sufficiently.

He ran his hand through his hair, tapping his hands on the chair handle as Aaron was talking on the phone. Jordan's mind was running wild with different tactics and ideas to try and get Celeste back to her normal self. For the first time in his life he was taking on the cliche role of being the superhero who was going out to rescue the girl, who was, apparently, the girl of his dream. Only thing is, it took him a thousand years and lost of memory for him to realize it.
He sighed, hearing Aaron's conversation on the phone. Aaron was always the business oriented one, who wanted a career and wanted to settle down quickly. But Jordan was so much more volatile, so much more unhappy with settling that he lost the things that were staring him in the face. Now, now he realized that his younger brother had surpassed him in life, and maybe he had stolen the things that he was trying to protect.
"Yeah, yeah we can." He stumbled as he stared across the room at Aaron. His glossy eyes finally broke as his heart ached. Tears streamed down his eyes at the very mention of Celeste. He had lost it. Someone had come and snatched away the only thing that really mattered; his heart. "We can."

Aaron was about to sit down when he caught the look on Jordan's face, and no matter how much he disliked being around his brother this much, seeing him hurt didn't do the wonders he'd like to tell people, it made him feel horrible when someone so close to him, when someone he loved was in pain...and though Jordan may not admit it, though he may not own up to it, he looked scared right now. Jordan Pryce was scared of losing someone he'd come to love. He sighed and walked up to Jordan and stood before him, staring him right in his face and for once, he attempted to hug his brother but the thought was too weird and too awkward to do, more less fathom, so he held himself back and just looked at his brother with his hands pushed into his pockets, clueless and powerless as to what to do right here, right now in his situation, he probably knew what to say but...just words. "J, Jordan...dude, you haven't lost her...you haven't, not yet, and you wont.' He added quickly. "There's something wrong, you know it and you'll find out what it is. And you love her...u know that, I can see that so, use that, and fix her. But just think...what if she's not broken? Don't just ahead of yourself and...don't...don't cry...please...alright...you're going to pull through and so will she." He said a she let his apprehension disappeared and for this moment, he was a brother. he stepped forward and hugged his brother and he allowed J to cry on his shoulder...he was tear-staining his shit but...sacrifices. "I'll help, ok...whatever you need, you'll be her superhero." He added with a hidden smirk.

He closed his eyes for a moment, trying to hold back the tears that had rushed before him, taking away his speech and his words. Jordan had broken, the wall had broken. Seeing Aaron, seeing his brother, come over and at first hesistating but eventually offering his shoulders, Jordan finally leaned on him. It was the hug that Jordan often resisted to give, the shoulder that Jordan refused to give up, but here he was now completely dependant on his younger brother.
He gathered himself soon after putting his hands behind his head and finally uttering the words, "Let's, let's just write the spell." Jordan stated running his hand through his hair, turning away from facing his brother but recognizing the truth in his words.
