Aaron looked at Jordan. Jordan didn't know it but he had a knack of ruining situations, especially when it involved him and Keri. "I'm sorry about that, his old habits never die, never will actually." He said griing at her while he laid down on the couch.

She was about to continue her 'interview' with Aaron when she heard keys jingling and watching as the door open without notice. She looked around to notice that it was Jordan, who she had seen for the first time since the funeral. She smiled at him, but took it back after noticing that he simply walked passed her to grab the pizza that was on the table. His greeting was hardly better when he gave her a smug greeting, she simply nodded her head, raising her eyebrow as he headed to his room, she heard his door close.
"Okay..." She simply said as she crossed her legs looking at Aaron strangely. She hadnt seen Jordan act this way in front of her before, so she was really surprised when he did this. "I think I better go then." She said placing her book in her bag.

"Umm, why?" Aaron asked her, "Not like he's gonna come back down and bother us, he's probably safe-guarding his "precious" stuff from me...like i want it. But seriously, you don't have to go. You're welcomed here." He saod to her.

Keriann really wasnt sure if he was right. Things seemed tense in the house and Jordan's entrance proved it. She never liked being in between of sibling rivalry. "I know Aaron, but you say you're leaving soon anyway. You might as well go up and talk to him." She said contently, her utensils already packed.

"Talk to him...for what? Jordan doesn't care whether I was dead or alive, I'm sure he'd prefer I was dead or never born, the first day together after the funeral, he called me a mistake...he said I was my parent's mistake....what kind of brother says that Keri?" Aaron said feeling the pent up rage turn to complete hurt. "He just doesn't care, he never has doubt he ever will."

"Have you thought maybe this is just his way of handling the death. You know, it came suddenly for all of you. I dont kow, Aaron, Jordan doesnt act this way, especially around women." She said with worry in her voice, smiling a bit at the end. Instead of continuing packing she simply sat there, her mouth pinned and thinking. Things have changed so much around here, and she was worrying that Aaron had changed also.

Aaron couldn't be bothered with takling about his brother anymore. He may say he hated Jordan, but he was his brother, he loved him, but he didn't have to like him, and he sure as hell didn't. But for now, those were feelings that were to be kept to himself. "Ok, I gotta go shower and head down to the University, you know the way out. It's good seeing you after this time apart...come around often, please." He said as he got to his feet. He walked over to her and ruffles her hair then gently touched her cheek with his finger. Then he looked down at her. For a second he was tempted to do something he wanted to do, dreamed of doing for so long. But he then turned and headed for the stairs. "Remember to lock the door." He said as he started to climb up.

Keriann stood to her feet, throwing her bag onto her shoulders. She knew that Aaron would probably not follow her advice, but she tried. She went to the door, looking back at the staircase. and exited. She shouldn't have said anything, she was his best friend. not his mother.
