Again she was within the cemetery, even the other night didn't turn her away from this place, but tonight she had a more focused goal. As she moved slowly through the tombstones, a black dress washed along her figure as her golden locks were tied behind her head in a knot while the rest hung behind her. Only a few strands managed to fight their way out and they hung in front of her baby blues and she was focused on a single mausoleum. Coming to the door, she attempted to push it open only to fail and with a step back, she grinned to herself as her eyes stared at the lock, "Sticks and stones, break many bones, but a simple key, can unlock thee," she chanted softly and a loud click rumbled into the air. Pushing the door in, it wasn't easy at first, but as it gave way, it cracked and dust filled the present area causing Kat to cough. Waving her hand in front of her, the sleeve of the dress slide over her fingers quickly concealing them as she covered her mouth. Stepping into the structure, she left the door open, uncaring who saw for if she could finish what she wanted to do, no one would be safe if they disturbed her.
Her dress dragged down the winding stairs as Kat jaunted down rather quickly letting her bare feet press against the dusty stones. Coming to the main room, she smirked as her hand fell from her lips and her eyes stared at the magnificence of the tomb. Stepping further in, she moved for the middle as her left hand pulled out a piece of chalk. Katherine began to draw the marking of her family, the very thing she was forced to learn as a child and now had it to heart. It was perhaps the base of every major spell they used as as the tear drop began to be etched into the stones, she finished it off with the halos, one at the tip of the drop and one around the large base. The moment she finished, Kat tossed the chalk aside and stepped back. Remembering all the stories her mother had told her to get her to sleep, she focused on only one, it was about a dark family, the royal family of Verneficus. Clearly Kat was told never to call upon them for any reason, but Kat was growing tired of her life and wanted to do something more.
"Great spirits," she began as she stood there, hands together as they rested in front of her, "Help me call upon the strongest member of the Sternlucis. Grant me an audience with the face of evil." Nodding, she began to mutter the phrase her spell book had written within the pages, the words flowing from her mouth as her eyes closed and heart began to wish and hope that this would work.
