The night sky was full of dark clouds, a storm brewing within the canvas of night, yet no rain fell, no lightning cracked the air. It was peaceful and even the moon managed to shine through the clouds above as it peeked through any and every cloud that slithered by it. Below on the grass of the cemetery was a woman with long blond hair flowing down over her slender shoulders. Bright sapphire orbs pierced across the horizon as her eyes shifted looking for a single grave, her mothers. Today was the very day she had died and Kat had made a tradition to put flowers upon her grave, in remembrance. Adorned in a black jacket with a t-shirt just beneath and a pair of black sweats fluttering around her figure, she moved slowly, letting her shoes press against the grass. The night was cool and she enjoyed the feel of the breeze against her skin, it calmed her spirit and mind.
As her eyes fell upon the grave of her mother, Kat stopped directly in front of it and knelt down before it. Bowing her head, she placed the rose within the vase by the tombstone. I'm sorry mother, she thought to herself as her eyes closed tightly. Kat knew the death wasn't her fault, but she still felt like she could have done something to save her. A heavy sigh escaped from her lips as she let her rear end rest upon the grass. Curling her arms around her knees, she opened her eyes and stared at the tombstone before her. Letting time pass slowly and the wind wrapped around her, Kat only stared at the words that were carved into the stone before her. Whatever happened next, wasn't Kat's concern, at least not yet.

Standing up from the gave, Kat decided to move on from this spot since her respects were now paid in full for the year, or at least so she thought. Slipping her fingers into her pockets, she began to trail down through the lanes of tombstones as her eyes stared ahead. The cemetery was always an interesting place to Kat, so many myths lay around it, such as the dead rising into zombies or vampires. Some people thought it was a place of evil while others believed it was holy grounds. It was amusing how those who understood nothing about the magic in this world would think so stupidily. They were arrogant and quite moronic when it came to thinking at all. Giving a gentle sigh, she stared down at her feet as they moved slowly through the grass, crumbling the blades beneath each step. Her eyes began to fall upon a rather large tombstone protruding from the earth like a small monument. Approaching it, she stared at the carvings within it and as her eyes fell, she couldn't find who was buried there, but with a simple shrug, she left it alone. Lifting her eyes from the grave, she drifted them around her seeing nothing but more graves and she seemed rather alone in this spot, perhaps the way she liked it. Giving a gentle sigh, Kat continued to jaunt through the cemetery, moving slowly through the aisles of the dead that lined the ground around her.
