Haden orbed into his familiar home right into the living room. He walked over to the couch and collapsed upon it, turning himself over, wincing as the acid started to eat away at more layers of his flesh. He looked about the room and called out once...then twice...then for a third time, then he just stopped and have up. If he was gonna die, at least he'd be in his own home...at peace. He closed his eyes and drifted into a sleep, one he thought would be permanent. That's when his body's instincts activated and that time thing that occurred earlier in that battle kicked in and stopped the erosion of his flesh and his bleeding, freezing his entire body in time for now until someone would come.

Liah let herself into the manor with her key, after her most enlightening talk with Irulan and Katt she had proceeded home like she had planned to get the rest of her stuff. She still couldn't believe what she was told. Her father was alive! She hadn't gone looking for him as she would have before. She knew that he would find her when he was ready, when the time was right.
She walked past the living room entrance towards the stairs lost in her own thoughts. It was when she had already started to the climb up the stairs that she froze having only just registered the tuft of familiar black hair that she had seen out of the corner of her eye as she walked past the living room. Turning on the spot she went back down the few stairs she had mounted and went to the living room entrance and stopped. She hadn't been mistaken, there it was again. black hair spilling over the top of the couch from the familiar frame of a man who sat there.
"Dad." she called out tentatively as her heart pounded in her chest. He didn't move.
"Dad!" she called a bit louder as she now entered the room. Why wasn't he moving?
She walked over to the couch and crossed so that she was in front of him. His eyes were closed and he looked really pale. As she knelt down in front of him she caught side of his body and her eyes widened in shock and horror. It looked like if something had started to eat away at his flesh. In some parts she could see that his flesh had been burned away almost to the bone.
'I'm not losing you again.' she thought as she put her hands over his wound. The now familiar glow emanating from them but nothing seemed to happen. She tried again and again but with no change.
Forcing herself to remain calm she began to think of what possibly could be stopping her from healing him. That was when she saw it. A small fly just above his head seemed frozen in mid-air. An idea of what was going on dawned on her, it was a long shot but she didn't have another option. Somehow, the area around her dad was in some sort of temporal stasis, perhaps to stop whatever was on his skin from eating away at his flesh. The question was how did she break through it.
'Maybe if I woke him?' she muttered to herself as she slowly stretched out her hand to him. She knew she was grasping at straws and she could be completely wrong about everything but what other choice did she have. At that point in time she would believe anything if she thought it might save him.
"Dad?" she said uncertainly as she touched his pale face, "Dad, you need to wake up. Its me Liah. Dad, please."

Krys was coming with groceries in the house she said, "I got everything on the list for a pre-wedding party of sorts," smiling till she saw what had happened. The bags we're dropped and she stood there in shock at her sister healing their father he was alive. She said, "Daddy," putting her behind her ears then went to stand infront of them not saying anything. Liah was the healer and only one able to help she said, "Liah," her eyes full of concern. Storms raged overhead from the growing concern they acted up from time to time these days Krys was a lot more quiet then she had originally been. Things we're getting too normal with school and friends it seemed life was turning out to be what Haden wanted for his girls.

Haden opened his eyes after fifteen minutes of blissful rest, expecting to see himself in the bright, quiet, calm surrounding of the heavens, once again ascending to the heavens but the minute he opened his eyes, the stasis he was in dropped and he almost screamed and was half way out the chair when he felt the pain of the acid eating deeper into him. He looked at the whole in his shirt and his stomach, he left his hand to his face and just felt it eating away. He turned and looked at his girls. "Well? You gonna stop this or what?" He asked them, his eyes turning from Krys to Liah.

'Good to see that death hasn't changed him' she thought as she smiled and rolled her eyes at him. The fly moved zooming off outside a nearby open window.
"Its okay Krys." she said to her sister as she noticed the storm beginning to form overhead, "He just needed to wake up and break the stasis so that time around him could move and I could heal him finally. I'd been trying for 15 minutes already before I noticed what was going on."
She placed her hands where they had been before and they glowed as the acid was stopped in its progress and his flesh and skin began to reform and knit back together. Her healing power had grown a lot over the couple months she had had it. She found that it didn't even drain her much anymore when she healed someone. After about 10 minutes her work was done. The area was a bit red but that was to be expected.
"There." she said as she got off her knees and sat in front of him on the carpeted floor, "You'll be sore for a couple hours but otherwise okay. Now that that is done with. Not that I'm complaining but one question. How?"

She watched him with a look of fasination he had come back it was unreal. Krys just stood there watching her sister work hoping one day for her whitelighter side to come out. The wounds seemed to heal and waited for her father to speak. "We missed you," said Krys going to seat in a seat on the other side of the room. Things had been too quiet and they're preparing for a wedding it was a lot to take in. It seemed like only yesterday when she'd been brought back soon she hoped they'd be nieces to take care of.

"I missed you two, and Keri." Haden said as he examined the sore wounds on his body. He poked the one on his chest, winced for a minute or less then sat up and faced them, taking off the remains of his shirt. "Thanks for the funeral by the way...it was lovely...like the tomb...though I would have preferred something less extravagant...and the statues...too much, but still, it was great." Haden said a she got to his feet and headed upstairs, taking off the pants and underwear and shoes he'd had on for the past month and slipped on something fresher. He haded back downstairs and sat back down where he was previously. "Where's Keri...I want to see her, I miss her and what's happened since I...since I was gone?" He asked them, looking around the room which could do with some vacuuming, and the wooden furniture needed some polishing.

'Oh boy' she thought thinking of all the changes especially those concerning her and Raine, 'He just had to ask that.'
"We've missed you too." she said, "Well Keri's been staying with her parents. She took your....your leaving really hard. All of us did." She paused before continuing, "We're still in touch with her though. Cristos is still building his empire slowly but he seems to be losing it a little. Despite everything and how he looks he's still a kid and I think killing you took a real toll on him. I almost feel sorry for him. There was a kind of war meeting on Valhalla between all of us and Irulan and Minerva, the Angel of Destiny popped in on that too. Um, the Mathias line is like the top of the hit list there is probably huge bounties on Krys' and my heads but we've been fine for the most part. Only one or two incidents and we dealt with them okay with help. My powers have advanced even got the ability to heal. Krys' has too and Raine's. Nice trick you pulled there transferring your element to him" She said glaring at him as if annoyed but the small smile at the corner of her lips gave way her true emotions, "You could have warned him though. Did you know that he has...well had now, a huge phobia of water after nearly drowning as a kid? Anyway, that's about it."
She had purposely left out stuff not knowing how he would react but knowing that it'd be best if she told him before he heard somewhere else she decided that she could as well get it over with. She muttered her last words under her breath while inching away from him on the pretense of looking for something.
"And oh yeah," she muttered under her breath while inching slowly away from him pretending to be looking for something and moving so that the centre table was between them, "its nothing big but Raine got premonition as a power and he is going to be named the New Merlin of New Avalon. Minerva that I mentioned before aged me and Raine by like 5 years so we'd be better prepared for the upcoming battle and powers could advance. Raine got a house he and I got engaged," She held up her hand slightly and quickly to show him the two rings, "And I kind of, sort of moved out. Thats it. See like I said nothing really big or unusual. Now Krys why don't you come and show me what you bought."
She was bracing herself for the explosion and trying to get as far away from her dad as possible for when it happened. After all, when he and Raine first met he almost killed him just for touching her. He still thought of her as his little girl. So, how would he handle all this?

"You got engaged?" He asked her calmly as he stood up and looked at her. He smiled at her and opened his arms. Hugging his daughter tightly. She'd grown up, she was older now, soon to be married, she had someone who loved her and cared about her and shared his home with her. "I'm happy for you Aayliah. I've always wanted what was best for you, I've always wanted you to be happy. When i see you with Raine, I know you're happy. Kinda sad that I'm not the one making you smile anymore, but I'm happy nevertheless." He said as he separated from her. He kissed her on her forehead than sat back down on the couch, smiling, his eyes watering a bit. "I can remember the first time I saw you, help you in my arms, you and your sister were so precious, so beautiful. Soon Krys will be gone to." Haden said. "Congratulations sweet-heart. I wish you all the love and the best in this world." he said, smiling up at her.

Krys could see they needed to be alone and left the room silently smiling heading into the kitchen. She started to prepare the spaghettit knowing there was a lot for them to discuss and got out pots to start. The life of being alone most of the time lead her to become a half decent cook and smiled fixing the food. Cooking was a new hobby when this was all over she thought about becoming a chief at a restaurant.

She was in shock. She had espected and esplosion, fireworks, a 'You're too young' speech. Instead she had just gotten a congratulations and best wishes.
She felt her own eyes tearing up as they hugged.
"Oh dad, I really do love him." she said when they parted and he sat back down, "and he does make me happy, so happy. I'm glad your happy and was worried you would be upset. It wouldn't have been the same if I thought that I didn't have your blessing. Thank you. And no matter what you'll always make me smile. I love you."
