He had taken time and careful steps to set this up for her, she had been under alot of new stress lately. Hours of preparation went into this, as well as three weeks worth of pay checks but he hoped in the end that it would all be worth it, well.. he knew that it would be. Helena was the type of women that he would do anything for, the love in his heart was so vast he could not even fathom the end ever approaching. An entire section of Quake lay empty, reserved just for the two of them tonight which showed his dedication to her without even an explanation. Everything had to be right, everything had to be perfect for her. Waiters flew about, back and forth from the table to make sure the setup was aesthetically pleasing, rearranging the flowers that acted as the center piece. Chace would adjust the collar of his white button up nervously as he watched it all go down.
"Oh boy.. this is going to give me a stroke.." he whispered to himself as he teetered on his toes in anticipation. There was twenty minutes yet until he had asked her to come, hopefully everything was done by then. Checking his phone every few minutes, Chace would reply to a slew of texts from co-workers and the like asking him how things were going. Where he worked, it was quite a friendly enviroment and they all awed when he told them his plans. Several of them had even made some calls here to make sure that he got what he needed, alot of his friends knew somebody, that knew somebody as they said. Sitting down, Chace would watch the entrance of the resturant, the workers around him were finishing up, everything looked quite nice. By the time they were done, the scene appeared as; a table for two covered in black table clothes. A large vase of flowers sitting in the center, roses. A dimply lit overhead chandellier, and candles.
"I just hope she likes it.."

Helena's head was still looking down into her bag as she replaced her purse after paying the cabbie and also making sure that the few potions that she had brought along with her were well concealed at the bootom of the bag, when she entered the restaurant so she did not at first see the magnificence before her. The red dress shirt she was wearing, hugged her upper torso perfectly, fitting her body like a perfectly - sized glove and the black mini - skirt that flared around her toned thighs was the perfect complement to it. Her long, brown hair fell around her face, framing it in a mass of curls. Helena had definitely made an effort tonight and it was not in vain. A couple guys had even openly stared much to their dates' annoyance when she made the short walk from the curb to the restaurant door. Unfortunately for them though, the young Halliwell had eyes for only one guy. Chace had been very mysterious about tonight so she wasn't sure what to expect. She was happy just to have the night with him. She knew that she had been playing the role of the absentee girlfriend lately with everything new that was going on in her life and was more than grateful that she had a boyfriend that could understand. When she finally looked up from the bag having entered the foyer of the restaurant completely, what she saw took her breath away. She had been to Quake with Chace before but she had never seen it like this. "Oh...my...god." she whispered to herself, gazing around at the transformed room in awe. It looked like something out of a Hollywood romance movie. Still slightly in a daze she let the conceirge lead her down the small flight of stairs to the table and to Chace who stood there looking just as wonderful as ever. "Chace..." she whispered as the conceirge bowed out, leaving the two of them alone. "You did all this...for me? Chace, I...I don't know what to say. This is...this is unbelievable."

She walked in and looked absolutely speechless, however nothing could even compare to how he felt at this moment. His eyes had never beheld such a lovely women, nor had he ever literally made someone look as she did when she saw what he had done. A sort of giddy feeling welled up inside of him, knowing that she was absolutely taken with what he had done here. "Another one for you, Chace." he thought to himself, everyone deserved a little arrogant reassurance sometimes. Just then he would stand, smoothing out the surface of his shirt he would throw the dark jacket he brought with him over his torso just to enhance the way he looked tonight. Moving over with a few quick strides, he would kiss her upon the cheek sweetly and whisper into her ear.
"There are no words to describe what you've done for me." he whispered softly, something that came right from the heart. She was the reason he denied the use of his power, declined the very thing he was. She kept him from being among the many evil beings that roamed this world, and for that he owed her everything. "Yes, this is all for you. But this is just the beginning Helena." he said with a smile as he took her hand and gently led her over to the table. With a gentlmanly bow, he would chuckle a little. "Your seat, madam." he said with a silly tone, that was perhaps one of the best features about him. No matter what he could remain in a silly mood, and it often helped move things along. Deep inside however he knew the day would come when he had to tell her his secret.. and things like this might come to an end.
"You don't have to say anything. I care about you so much, I decided you deserved something special, every girl deserves to be a princess every now and then." he said with a grin. What he had planned in he park was to be even better then this, so he was even more so excited for that. "You've been quite busy lately. What've you been up to?" he asked making polite conversation.

Lena flushed slightly when he kissed her lightly and whispered in her ear. Even after all this time, his touch still made shivers run up and down her spine.
"I haven't done anything more than what you have done for me." she replied to him, "I don't know what I would do without you; especially over these past few months. I can never thank you enough."
Everything she said she meant from her very heart and soul. With all the upheaval in her life brought by the discovery of her heritage and the pain at the loss of her father; the one thing that had remained constant was Chace. He had been her rock throughout it all. Never once had he wavered in being there for her in every possible way.
She laughed at its silliness when he offered her her chair. One of the things she loved best about him was his ability to make her laugh. However, before sittting she turned to face him.
"Chace," she said softly, smiling brilliantly up at him, nothing but love in her eyes as she stared into his, "You always make me feel like a princess."
She rose up on her toes and kissed him gently before taking her seat, still completely amazed.
Her smile faltered slightly when he asked her what she had been up to. She hated not being able to tell him the truth. Lying was not in her nature and each time he asked this simple casual question she was forced to and each time the guilt she felt as a result grew.
"I'm sorry I've been so absent lately." she said, "Mostly its just adjusting to everything. Things seem so different with the move and him being gone. Three months have past since he died and sometimes its still hard to believe. They are days that I actually have to remind myself that he isn't coming home from work in the evening." She sighed and looked away from him and down at the table in front of her. "I think Holly has it the worst though. She doesn't seem to be getting past it at all. First Drew went missing, then she found out that her friend in the hospital seemed to be making a turn for the worst and then Dad died. Its like everything was hitting her one after the other. Something going wrong at every turn. There is only so much that one person can take. She's like a zombie, just going through the motions but not really being there. She won't even talk to me or Hannah. I'm worried about her."
Helena hadn't meant for all of that to come out but somehow once she started she couldn't stop. It was like if she jumped at the chance to tell him at least some of the truth of what was going on in her life.

A pain shot through him when she said that, for she could not truly know what it was that she did. The secret he carried was so deep that he was afraid that he would lose her, which was worse in his opinion then being what he was. If only he could find the strength, courage, and ability to tell her the truth, then it would all be so much easier for them. Instead he would just offer up a weak smile in return and move around to his seat. The kiss she gave him lifted away most of the burdens he had felt, as it always did, however it could only forestall what was to come one day, not stop it. "Well then, let's never wonder. The moments we have together are whats important." he said with a grin which was what he believed in firmly. They were one of those destined couples, the ones who would make it through anything, so then why was it so hard to say?
Just then his eyes would drift casual into her eyes, staring completely content. He could do this all night, however that would not be very fun for her so instead he would cough to clear his throat a little. "Can you say you don't deserve it? All the things you do, the things you have to deal with. I would go nuts were I in your position I think." he said softly as he took her hands into his and rest them upon the table. There was definitely that spark there in the moments when they touched, something that was undeniable. However everytime he asked her what she was up to there was always this look that kind of made him tense, a look of slight guilt. He always thought of it as nothing, but there was a nagging instinct within his nature, being male, that caused him to worry. Was she afraid of something, to tell him something? She wouldn't be the only one anyway.
Chace would nod his head slowly as he listened, her explaination made perfect sense to him. Anyone who had to deal with the loss of their father would be a little secluded so it was not unreasonable. Anyone.. unless your father was a monster as Chace refered to him. On top of all of these things they had recently moved into the old Halliwell place which Chace of all people understood how annoying and time consuming moving could be. "Yeah, but if you ever need me you remember that I am just a call away." he said softly. If only she knew what he was, then he would literally be a call away, a gentle whisper of his name and he could have been there for her. The conversation would quickly take a turn towards the topic of Holly, who had it quite rough.
"A turn for the worse? What's wrong with her? Hope she's going to make it, I don't think a second passing would be good for her if she's in that state." he said with concern. He did not mind talking about her sister, hell in a family like that it was bound to happen often regardless. He was sure that she'd get through it however, all the Halliwell women seemed to be tough in their own right. "Don't worry so much hun, she'll come through it. Just stay by her side, everything will be alright." he spoke soothingly. Just then the waiter would come by and place two glasses full of water, the better stuff would come later because he had to obtain it himself. "I want tonight to be perfect, just like this relationship as been. Anything you want, it's not a problem." he said as he watched the waiter stare at them as if he was waiting for an order.

"Yeah I know." she responded to him looking back into his face and squeezing his hand gently to show that she understood, "Just knowing that you're there for me helps more than I can say."
She sighed when he asked about Danny. The whole thing was really very sad and she hated what it had done and was still doing to Holly.
"Remember the accident she got in with a friend about five months back and that her friend went into a coma?" she said, "Well, Daniel hasn't improved at all even after all this time. I think she blames herself for it since the accident happened when he was bringing her home. She goes to the hospital every day hoping but all she sees is him lying there with no improvement. I really hope he pulls through cause you're right if he dies too, I don't know if she'll be able to handle it. I don't know why bad things happen to good people. Its not fair."
She paused for a moment and then smiled at him again.
"You're right though." she said, "I probably do worry too much. Besides, its like you said, the moments we have together really are what's important and tonight is supposed to be perfect. So, what do you say we forget everything else and just focus on us tonight?"

What was it about her, that always kept him grinning? Whenever he was with her he could not stop, it felt like all the muscles in his face would explode sometimes. To be in love made one feel marvelous, like they could do anything they wished merely upon a whim, by wishing it so. What did those who were evil see in it? They never got to feel things such as this, it was absolutely worth it. He would have gladly given up his powers if he was able to ensure that he would be here with her, in this moment of eternity. While there certainly were bad moments to everything, he could not recall a single bad event between the two of them simply because she was so enchanting. Perhaps it was what made them so strong, the fact that no matter what the good in the relationship always seemed to out weigh the bad. "Helena.." he started, however he would not finish. Instead he would simply wave it away. "Nevermind."
Danny, right, how could he have forgotten about that? With a concerned look he would think about poor Holly, and what they could do for her. It disheartnened him to see any of them sad really, they were what seemed like usually happy, optomistic women. With an understanding nod he would let her know that he remembered, however he would listen to all she said before he interjected any of his own statements. Nodding at the appropriate times, his turn to speak would come, to be a good listener was important first. "I don't know what to say for once." he said with a weak laugh, one that showed his sympathy. "All I can offer her or you is my hope, my faith. Perhaps I should try and talk to her?" he asked slowly, tilting his head. While he never really had spoken much to Holly about personal matters, perhaps his own brand of cheery optimism could help keep her going as well. Making note of that, he would remember to keep that in mind. "She'll probably blame herself for a long time, until she realizes that she couldn't do anything. It wasn't her fault, just as I learned about my mom's death." he said slowly.
He had always felt responsible for it when he learned that he held the same curse his father did. He could have stopped it, he had the power to do so. That was when he realized, that forgivness was the only thing that would keep him sane. For himself, for his father, and from his mother. Just then however Chace realized he spoke of his past, which might suddenly stir up more questions. He would cringe inside, insulting himself mentally. There were things they would all ask sometimes that he had no real answer for so instead he would always find a way to change the subject. "You're right, it's not fair. But they happen because we're strong enough to recover from them, they teach us lessons. Hope, faith, trust.. all of these can be taken from hardship if we just reach out." he said with a smile, one that was meant to warm the very mood. While he hated it all the same, bad things had to happen to good people to make them stronger.
"If you didn't worry, then we'd have to be concerned." he said sticking his tongue out a little at her. "Besides, it's okay to worry as long as you don't let it consume you." Chace said with a wink as he then took his hands back slowly and took a drink of the water before him. Now that they had gotten most of that out, things could now begin in earnest, the night was young. "Chicken Alfredo, light sauce." he would state suddenly as if out of nowhere, he just realized the waiter had been standing there sort of patient. With a chuckle he would glance over at Helena. "Yes, tonight the focus is on us, or more impotantly.. you. As I said, I'll take away your pain when you're down." he said with his trademark grin once more. "It'll get stuck that way Chace.." he thought to himself. "All that aside, how's your day been Lena?" he asked as he absent mindedly played with the glass of water within his hand.

Helena looked at him curiously when he began to say something and then stopped. It wasn't the first time in the past couple weeks that that had happened. However, she decided to let it pass since she knew that he would tell her in his own time. Also, she had done the same thing a couple times herself however she was sure what he had to say was nothing compared to her secret.
"Yeah, you could try talking to her." she said, "Maybe talking to someone outside the immediate family would help. Give her some perspective or something. So yeah, feel free to give it a try."
She paused as he continued and was suprised when he mentioned his mom. Chace hardly ever spoke of his family and Lena didn't ask, preferring for him to tell her on his own when he was ready. She was about to try asking him about it when he continued on and she got distracted thinking about what he was saying and realising that it made a lot of sense.
She laughed at his next comment about her worrying.
"You're probably right," she said laughing at his teasing, "Me not freaking will probably cause all of you to have major freak outs. That would definitely be funny to see."
She nodded at his comment about not letting worry consume a person. He was right, if you were to let worry consume you, you would probably go insane with it
"You already do without trying." she replied as he smiled her favourite grin, "Just hearing your voice or seeing your face makes everything seem less horrible and makes me feel that everything will be okay."
Helena had forgotten all about the waiter. She hadn't even looked at the menu Whenever she was with Chace most other things seemed to stop existing. Especially when he gave one of his brilliant smiles. She could never help smiling along with him. Just thinking of his smiling face would make her grin.
"I'll have the same." she said to the waiter smiling in apology for making him wait so long and watched as the young man nodded and walked away to place the order for their food.
"Besides all that other stuff my day has been pretty good." she said turning back to Chace, "I spent most of it thinking of tonight with you and what was the suprise you had in store. I'm still in shock, but good shock. This is so beautiful and perfect, Chace. I can never thank you enough. The best part of my day has definitely been tonight."

If it came to it, he would try and use part of his curse of the good of the sisters. The power of suggestions was a dangerous thing, however if used right it could be quite useful. Chace was always extra careful around Helena to make sure he kept that in check, he wished for the things she did to be of her own will, not his own secret nudging. The only times he did use it was when he wished for a little tiny silly fights to end. However when she knew what he was, if they managed to accept it then would she be afraid of what he could do? Another fear that welled up within him, he could not stand the thought that she might actually be afraid of him. What choice did he have though? There were already too many close calls to name, specifically when he sneezed around her, there was always the chance that he could blink out.
"I'll probably have a go at it tomorrow then. For now I'll just think of the women who matters most in this moment." he said as he stared forth. It had been quite sometime since they had gotten together, sometimes he lost track of the exact amount. Things all just seemed to go so well that he could only focus on the most important part, the love. "I managed to get a raise today." he spouted randomly without really thinking. Conversation was always best when you let your mouth do the work sometimes, rather then always thinking it through. "Apparently I'm the only one who gets things done before they're suppose to be." he said with a chuckle as he thought about it. Perhaps it was a little unfair that he could get to places faster when he had to, but he made sure not to do it often, just when he was late. "They figured it was about time I finally moved up, I've been showing up everyday for a year now a little before I have to." he said grinning.
He was however glad that he had managed to get into her head so well. Thats exactly what he wanted tonight to be, something she was surprised and exicted for. It was amazing that he got such a reaction, something he had not expected to do. To be honest it made him feel happy inside, beyond anything he'd ever felt in his life. Everytime she did this to him, he felt the humanity in him grow stronger, further reassuring him that he was not a monster like the rest of his kind. "Well I'm glad. However, as I said this is not the end." he said as he made a waving hand gesture. "The night is young, and so are we. Many more promises await you." he said with a conspiratorial wink as he picked up his spoon. Breathing on it a few times he would wipe the napkin along it and smile, satisfied. It was more of a nervous habit then anything, he knew the moment was coming tonight.
What would he say when it did arrive? "Helena I'm a Warlock, is that okay?" he thought. While that was exactly what he needed to get across, that was the dumbest way to do it. He would have to bring up the subject slowly, steadily. Clearing his throat some he would decide now or never. "Helena.. do you believe in the err.. super natural?" he asked slowly, thinking that she would find him nuts or feverish. With a nervous grin and a chuckle he would shift in his seat as he awaited the answer.

"For now I'll just think of the woman who matters most in this moment." Lena flushed in pleasure at his comment as he looked directly into her pale blue eyes. Even after all this time some part of her still marvelled that such a wonderful guy could actually be interested in her. "I feel the same about you." she said. She listened as he expalined about his promotion and couldn't help but feel proud of him. "That is great, Chace!" she exclaimed, "You deserve it. I'm glad your bosses are seeing how great you are. I can fully attest to what they are saying. In all the time I have known you, you have hardly ever been late, most of the time you are early. Even on those rare occasions, late for you is only ever a minute or two. You are the most punctual guys I know."She meant what she said from the bottom of her heart and couldn't help beaming at him as she was so incredibly happy for him. She raised a curious eyebrow at him again when he hinting at more suprises being in store. He had already made the night wonderful and perfect she couldn't even begin to imagine what else he could have up his sleeve. "You have me burning with curiosity." she said laughing since she knew full well that was exactly his intention, " I can't wait to find out. You've already made tonight so perfect, I can't imagine how it can get any better."They were many times today that she had wondered if she was going to have a premonition of tonight but none had come that day and though her curiosity still burned she hoped that the absence of visions would continue. Her biggest fear had been that she would have a premonition after their night had already started. It had happened once before and he had been so worried but she had managed to convince him that it was just overtiredness from not sleeping much after her father's death. She couldn't use that excuse again after recently assuring him that she had started to sleep better again. The food arrived while she watched him play with his spoon. It was one of his quirks and she thought it was cute. After thanking the waiter, she looked down at her food. It looked delicious. She had just picked up her fork and had been about to spear a piece of chicken on it when Chace spoke again. She began to look up in answer when he called her name but froze when he finished the sentence, the fork slipped from her fingers and hit the plate with a clang. "Helena.. do you believe in the err.. super natural?" One word seemed to echo in her head. Supernatural. Her heart began to race in her chest. 'Does he know? How? When? How much does he know?' These were the thoughts racing through her head as wild panic flowed through her. They had been so careful. It was true that she had considered telling him a thousand times but her fear of losing him had stopped her. She didn't think that she could bear it if he thought her a freak or a monster. Also, her decision would affect her entire family. It risked everything her parents had worked for. How could she do that to them just for what she wanted? 'How could he find out. We were so careful' she thought in a panic, 'But that's just it, we have been so careful.' she reasoned with herself, her common sense catching up with her and working through the panic. The chances of Chace having found out were extremely slim. 'It could be just a simple question.' she thought, 'Maybe he heard a joke or saw an ad for a movie or something. Yeah that makes sense.'She took a deep breath trying to force herself to stop panicing and took back up her fork. With a great effort she lifted her head and looked into his face. 'Oh god, please.' she prayed in her head as she looked into his face. She didn't want to lose him She made a brave attempt at a smile. "Sorry about that." she said, "The fork slipped. Too much hand cream, I guess" She laughed weakly, "The supernatural, huh. I've never really thought about it but I guess its impossible." Something had just occured to her. Maybe, just maybe if she could convince him that if the supernatural did exist, that it wasn't all bad... 'Maybe...'Her heart was still thundering in her chest but for a different reason. She hated lying in general and to him especially. She hated hiding such a big part of her life from him. She knew that she would lose him if she had to keep lying to him, no relationship ever lasted if it was built on lies. He wasn't stupid and he knew her well. He would realise that she was keeping something from him. More than once she had wondered if he was seeing through the facade. It was why she had wrestled with the idea of telling him, trying to decide if their relationship would survive this, if the risk was too great. 'If he loves you he will accept you no matter what.' She heard her sister's voice in her head, remembering what she had said when she asked Holly's advice on the matter. Maybe the time was now, maybe tonight was the night. "Yeah, I think I do believe it exist." she continued, "There are so many unexpalined things in the world, both bad and good," she put emphasin on the word good, "that defy any normal explanation, why not? I think its possible." She took a deep breath before asking her next question, "Why do you ask?"

For a moment he thought he might have done something wrong, she seemed to be very nervous about something. Chace's gaze would stare even harder, seeming as if it were peircing her very being as he shifted in his seat. Perhaps there was something that had happened to her once through abnormalities that made her paranoid, maybe even brought up bad memories. Inside he cursed himself, perhaps he approached this the wrong way. He had to think of something to tell her, somehow. His courage was holding on by a thread, one that didnt seem like it was going to be around much longer. "Did I say something wrong?" he asked slowly as he once more shifted uncomforably in his seat, feeling like he was going to cop out of this. However something inside him wanted this to be said so much, he just had to make it so. "Now or never Chace, now or never." he thought as he stood and slowly started to walk towards the door. The secret was more important then the dinner.
"Helena, can you come with me please? I have something I have to tell you and show you.." he said with a heavy tone as he walked up and out of the door. Luckily for them the streets seemed empty, as did the nearby alley way. Waiting for her outside he decided that he would use his blinking power to take them to the park where he had the rest of the night planned. What would he do when he got there however, surely she would be very surprised with what happened, how they got there. A nervous look spread over his face as he paced and waited for her. There was no problems with the dinner, he had put down a deposit that they could take the meal out of, he explained he might have been leaving abruptly. "Oh god.." he muttered to himself as he paced. This was it, this would be the end possibly.. the end of all things good.

"Oh no, Chace." she said, "You didn't say anything wrong. Of course you didn't." She reached out to grasp his hand when he continued to look unsure and squeezed it gently, smiling. "I swear to you that you haven't said or done anything wrong."
'Calm down, Helena!' she scolded herself, 'Calm down, right now!'
In her head she was still going through all the pros and cons of telling him. Maybe it was a sign that he had brought up this topic of all things, a sign that the time was now. She was arguing with herself furiously on both sides like she always did though she never came to a decision. But now that what she wanted was so close, almost in her grasp, for the first time she thought, really thought about the possibilty of having him no everything, no more secrets between them and being able to share herself, all of herself with him; the voice arguing against the idea seemed to be growing weaker. Even so the question still remained of how she would tell him if she decided to. After all, telling your boyfriend you were not only a witch but one of the legendary Charmed Ones, the most powerful witches of all time; wasn't exactly the easiest task.
Lena was suprised when he stood up and for a second, wandered if he was upset and was leaving. When he spoke, it at least put that fear to rest as he had asked her to join him but she was still confused. She figured that it was just another part of the night he had planned so she let it go though she was worried about the change in the tone of his voice she had detected
"Of course." she said quickly getting up and grabbing her small purse as he headed outside.
She followed him quickly, stopping only to get her jacket from the coat-check at the door. She pulled on the dark jacket, glad that she had decide to bring it, as she stepped out into the cold night air. She quickly spotted Chace pacing a short distance away and headed over to him and topped when she was beside him.
"Chace, what's going on?" she asked, "If you're still worried that you upset me, don't be. I was serious, you haven't done or said anything wrong."

Chace sighed audibly as he stared forth, trying to figure out how to say this. There was no turning back now, it was too late to squash her curiousity. WHat was a man to do in a situation like this? His heart felt like it had dropped out of his chest on the way out of there, he felt like a wreck. This was one feeling he never wished to feel ever again, one that he would give up his feelings never to have to feel again. Shifting slightly on his heel he would speak up finally. "Helena I.. am different. I'm not normal." he started slowly. Surely she must have figured something was up when he never spoke of his past, never mentioned or hung around any family members. "There is something about me that I have to tell you but I'm not sure what you'll say so here it goes." he said with a nervous glance down at the ground.
The moment of truth had come for Chace, now he only had to find the strength to finish what he had started. In this moment it felt like time had stood still, his mind revealing in old memories of the two of them. In every single image in his mind, he could see her smiling. There was one however which showed him being alone in this world, one that he felt would become very true soon. The dream he had over and over of her leaving him once she knew was now close at hand. "I have these gifts and I don't know how to explain them. They might freak you out a little but.." he started as he took her hand. With a simple blink they would vanish on the spot from where they stood, being taken across the city in a teleport. The two would find themselves standing among a romantic spot, heavy moonlight shining down upon a picnic blanket.
"Helena.. I'm a Warlock." he said slowly putting his head down, surely she had picked up on the signs. "Didn't you ever wonder why I never blinked, at all?" he asked slowly, surely someone had to have noticed something like that. Shame washed over his form as she would probably stare at him now, he hated what he was with a passion. This curse would always ruin his life as long as he was alive, if she left.. perhaps he would have no reason to suffer the curse anymore. "Don't be afraid.. please.." he said weakly as he stood there, left to the mercy of her emotions.
