Hey!
So, as to avoid confusion over tomorrows Live Awards, I am wondering how to you imagine the event to be in terms of the actual posting of it. Because it has been brought to my attention that misconceptions existed over how this would actually run.
For example, Do you see it as a full on RP style and format? Do you see it as OOC? Do you see it as half RP and half OOC?
What do you imagine?
I can tell you that upon creating this idea of a LIVE Award show it was intended to be out of character, relaxed and requiring little to no RPing, but of course, in FULL LITERATE structure.
For example, "Omnipotent was in his chair facing the front and when Kevin had gotten his awards, he clapped feverishly."
would become,
"Wow, I expected Kevin to win! Congratulations! Tell us a speech!"
But of course, this was my idea of how I imagined it to be where the person would be out of character but still in the personality of that character. And I say this because many of us have multiple characters and multiple characters nominated. So I was intending on bringing both Omnipotent and Kevin to the show. But what do you think? Is this format going to work?

If I understand you correctly, I had the same assumption where a full on RP is not really expected but an atmosphere that is relaxed, and semi rp to the point where I can say:
I am sitting in the same row with Max Simmons. To Max: How are you?
Type of thing

I was seeing it as an RP. Basically, all of us members are actors who star in a series of TV shows (I assumed our character plots and those involved could be considered the shows) and the GVE awards would be away of us honoring ourselves, in other words, it is the sites own version of the Screen Actors Guild Awards. We RP our rival at the red carpet. Describe what we are wearing and who designed it and who we've come with if we have a date and chat with the Red Carpet Hosts before heading in and taking a seat. I see it as an opportunity to live those huge Awards shows like the SAG and Oscars. Enjoy the flashing lights, the cameras and the fame. lol. Yeah I probably put too much throught into this but this is how i personally saw it happening.

I kind of saw it has both.
The red carpet event MUST be, I mean, MUST be in RP style. I dont see any other way or point of doing it if it is not in such. But the Awards show, I can imagine, would not be able to happen as quickly as we would like had everyone typed out 300+ words for their responses. I kind of expected after every award, or presenter announced that we would give a reaction like how our character would. Not we ourselves, but our character and so that is more of the RP style in the OOC way. I dont see us describing everything in detail in each response we make certainly. For example describing the lights or what the other person is wearing in great detail rather something where we can do that in a way our character would. I know, for sure, as Malchiresa, she would HATE, i mean utterly despise any good character and during the awards I planned on depicting that in the SAG way Haden described. Certainly, I dont see it as a CHAT, because if it is a chat then we should just have it in the Cbox instead.

Well I agree with Haden it would be kind of interesting to put some of the awards into RP. I mean just so we could describe the whole sensation of presenting an award and winning it. The Red Carpet will indeed have to be in RP because that way we can describe what our characters are wearing, feeling, have them interact with others and maybe even play them as the actors not the actual characters. Do you guys see what I mean?

All that I can say what these people say is what I am not going to give a Summary.
EVERYONE IS THERE ACTOR, NOT THE PERSON YOU PLAY.

Great! I think we have that finalized then. We will be the actor, that being "Kevin Kendalecki" and not the OOC character. Thanks guys! You are awesome!

I think its an awesome idea its like if someone was at the Oscars and write everything down on a piece of paper to hand to someone who doesn't have a tv or is blind and can't see it. Plus to actually rp as the actor is cool too. I mean I kind of feel uncomfortable with those rp forums where you rp as an actor but this is different its where we get to have our own awards show on here and to see those who we use to portray our chars, it fits. Great ideas guys eh I just wish it was earlier I would've had my guys there.
