"An Enchantress...interesting...you do know that an Enchantress has the ability to 'enchant' people...it's like suggestion, he or she would have the ability to make anything, even the most revolting of things seem delicious, delicate and sensuous...it's not your fault." Haden said, and truthfully, he had no clue of determining whether Nate was a cold blooded killer or a lost kid in the wrong place at the wrong time but for right now, that didn't matter...no, not true, of course it did matter, a life was taken for the wrong reason, but...things happen, and some of those things aren't what we want or what we count on but they happen and you can't just dwell on it, you have no choice but to move on and he was gonna make this kid do that whatever it takes. "Vampires don't desire to kill...they desire to feed and that need to feed leads to the accidental killing, but for some, it's not so accidental as it is intentional but you don't seem like the kind to intentionally kill, even if you told me you were, you know and I know that you're not...because just looking at you...Nate, you know that you're sorry so, just deal with it ok...."
"And Nate, something I learned long ago is that you can't hate yourself forever, you can't hate who and what you are and you can't blame your parents for loving each other and giving birth to you as a testament of their love...alright dude? When I was born, a union between a whitelighter and a witch was frowned upon more than any other specie, we were seen as abominations and no one ever talked about hybrids like yourself, but the good thing now, is that era of discrimination, it's over...and who you are makes you unique, as far as I know, you're one of a kind...like my late son...he was the son of two Elders and he had witch blood in him, he was something, kinda like you." Haden said, casting his eyes down to the floor as he started to daydream about the minute his son was brought into this world, the first time he orbed, the first time he went to school, learned to make a potion thanks to Justin, learned to cook with his mum and learned to cast a spell and the day he came into the family power. "You need to call your mum and dad, i assume he isn't missing as you've led me to believe...you should call, they'd be worried." Haden said as he reached into his pocket for his cell phone, a feat which took some time because he was wearing fitted jeans, and he was sitting on the floor so his pocket was something tricky to get into, but after some minute of irritating his fingers, he held his phone out to the kid. "Make it quick."

[white]Nate stared at the ground, holding the metal against his chest still. Hearing his words...he never knew that an enchantress could do that. He thought of himself a fool, but still he had killed an innocent man, there was no coming back to that. No matter how much someone denied it. He felt more tears well in his eyes, Blinding his vision. Blinking, the drops rolled down once more. Unafraid, he was about to strike again.
Nate gazed as Haden once again tried to comfort him. He listened, as he always did, and he did not flinch when he suggested to call his parents. In truth, they knew how he was, he called them once a day. He missed them like always, but he wasn't sure if being a live was still possible. Here, he needed a family to belong to. It was not belonging to someone that brought him into this mess. Staring at the phone, he looked to Haden then back at the phone. "They know how I am, they don't need to hear from me." he said gripping the cold metal so hard that his knuckles turned white. "If anything it is the reason i don't belong that got me into this mess. I have no family to belong to anymore, and I am not going back to Eagle Rock." he said pulling the metal closer, feeling the metal start to press deeper into his skin. Suddenly a pang shot through his body, the wetness of the body liquid began to show in his deep red and black stripped shirt. "I don't belong here anymore..." he cried, tears coming into his eyes once more. "I'm sorry I brought you into this, please...leave." he said sadly. [/white]

Haden watched sadly as the boy pushed the piece of metal into his being, tearing his flesh, and what manner of tissue until something got snagged, hence the resultant bleeding and the blood was just leaking out of him like mad, soaking his shirt and the rest of his body and all Haden could do for the moment was sit there and sigh coupled with the disappointed feeling at the fact that everything he said was once again wasted on some kid from this generation who felt that what they thought and what they said was golden…they just didn’t listen to their elders anymore, but they should. It would do them a whole lot better because all he wanted to do was slap this boy upside the head and make his dusty brain star thinking. He released a sigh and re-pocketed his cell phone. “Don’t tell me I’m wrong or near wrong when I say the world would be emptier with you gone…I've been around a while so i know the world is never safer, even with the most dangerous individual, there is someone adjacent who is benefitting from this in the good way, it’s just that some people fail to see that…I have to look at it that way because it is my job, and I have always looked at it that way because I choose to.”
He watched the boy bleed a bit more before he reached across and unceremoniously pulled the metal out, dropping the bloody object to the floor, then he looked at the boy with some sad eyes, the kind he’d used on his son when the situation called for it, then, without another word, he placed his hand on the boy, right over the wound, and he healed him up, with the unusual light show, but never the less, he was healed, hence why it didn’t make any difference when Haden slapped the boy across his head right before he got to his feet. “Do that again and I’ll show you a fate worse than death.” And he seriously meant that. “I don’t know the situation with your parents and who you’re so withdrawn from them…” Haden went on, and as he went on, the words that flowed out just seemed to lead him down a bad, very bad road, “, but, I’ll do them a favour. You’re coming with me, you’ll meet my fiancé and you’ll say with us and our grandsons until I make sure that you’re not clinically stupid anymore…then I’ll take you home, personally, but till then, you’ll stay with my family. So you see, it works out, you have someplace to belong to right now, you have a family that will need you, because it’s grocery week…and the new guy does the shopping…now get up.” Haden said, crossing his arms, his somewhat cold yet friendly demeanour slipping off to be replaced by his hard façade of stone. “If you accept my offer, you will keep your fangs in your mouth or I will pull them out…seriously. Don’t even attempt to bite my family or you will walk hand in hand with death…don’t test me, and if for one minute you thought this was all amusing, then you’re talking to the wrong guy…I don’t do bullshit.” Haden said, his words rolling off nicely if he could put it that way. “So are you coming or not?”

[white]Nate watched as Haden continued his lecture. He didn't understand. How could he? He didnt have the lust to drink blood, though he could control it, even now with a magical being, he was still nervous, nervous of what he could do. Haden pulled the rod from his chest, and felt the pain rush through his body. Gritting his teeth, he attempted to listen to what else he had to say. Hearing his offer of being good to him made him have a weak smile. Nate had realized that his teeth and eyes were still deformed.
In his weakened state, he released his barings as a vampire and showed his human form once again. His chest still releasing the liquid perfusely. Making a half smile he nodded, "I swear I will not do anything..." he said softly, barely audible to hear. "Thank--" he began, and fell to the floor, seeing the blood roll of his body and a puddle flowing onto the floor, shaking he looked up to the Elder. "Maybe you won't need to take care of me after all...my stupidity is doing what I do best." he laughed. Coughing slightly, he felt his eyelids start to pull close. Hearing his own heartbeat begin to weaken. How did Vampires even have heartbeats? But then he remembered his human/witch half, he had lived so long with the burden of a vampire, that he forgot his other half, that he was a witch...[/white]

Haden watched him closely, then, as he fell back, he didn't know...he just didn't know, he couldn't fathom why, but he lunged forward as if in hope of catching him but he was too far up and away and he just watched the kid fall back down to the floor, his bleeding still continuous. That's what he hated about vampires, their pride and false convictions, nothing ever good came of it and nothing ever will...he was literally repelling his action of healing, he wasn't completely immune to his magic seeing as he had witch blood in him, but that vampire part, the part he chose to embrace, it was too dominant and it was being a bitch right now. He moved swiftly, getting down beside the kid and without notice, he pounded his fist on the boy's chest to keep him alive and attentive, then he placed back his hands, hovering above the wound and he began to heal him.
"You know...I just don't get you...why are you so eager to die...you're not immortal, and you're young so that means you've got a full lie ahead of you...that means you can forgive, forget and start over...it means you have a chance to idiot." Haden said, pushing the limits of his abilities. "Do you know how many people would probably wish to have this chance right now...to live and be loved? My son for starters, my son and my daughter in law...they died to early and you...you just want to die...what w waste." Haden said, and as he spoke, something started to stir inside of him, something that felt so unfamiliar but he welcomed it. He opened his mouth so his words could hiss like a pissed of cobra but not a word came out, instead, a tear broke, tears actually, form both eyes, both racing down the side of his face, over his cheeks and down towards his chin and the bit of bread he had left after shaving. "I'm...I'm trying to help you here." He said, keeping a brave face as he lifted one hand to wipe his face, resuming his process of healing right after. "Don't be a fool, alright...just..." He said but this wasn't working, he needed to close the wound.
"So this life won't be lost Seal this wound at all cost Mend the broken deep inside Patched up nice like the outside."
Haden said, formulating the spell from scratch and because it was quick work it wasn't anything to faint or freak out over...it was simple and it did the job now all he had to do was hope that magic wasn't as unreliable as it had become or he'd have to go and ask an Elder for help, so that's what he did, he sat back, wiped his face with his sleeve and he just sat, waiting patiently, not even bothering to look on, he didn't watch his son die, he didn't get the chance to hold him in his final seconds, why...why should this kid be any special.

[white]Nate lay on the in agony, he thought of himself stupid. Completely moronic. Haden was right, why would he want to kill himself? There really was no purpose, he wished in his heart that he could take back the whole afternoon. To undo the horrors that he had done to this kind man...
Arching his back in pain of Haden hitting him, he let his back fall back down hard. He saw the man's hands glow over where he was stupidly stabbing himself from before. The sensation was warm, like nothing he had experienced before. The contradiction of his cold body and the warm feeling made him feel better, like a new life was given to him, but the glow did not do anything substantial to his wound, it was too deep, and too close to the heart.
Haden's words began to hit him, word after word, each sending sharp pains into his being. He was mad at him, and for good reason, but it still hurt. Watching as tears began to leave his eyes, Nate continued to watch, helplessly and made at himself for hurting him. Then the chant came. He could feel the mending of his skin to the flow of blood that ceased. But not only did the spell heal him, but his mind seemed to have healed as well. The spell seemed to have fixed his senses or something. Nate could no longer smell the delicious delicacy of Haden's blood. The longing was gone, as was really the desire to kill for blood. He could still feel the Vampire inside of him, but the desire for blood was gone.
"You...you cured me." Nate sighed still laying on the floor. Sitting up, propping his weight on his elbows. Nate eyed Haden with a smile. "Thank you." he said again and sat fully up, and got to his feet, he took out a hand in the middle of the air to shake Haden's. Though he knew that Haden was probably so furious he would never speak to him again, he was willing to risk the yell...for someone who cared for him.[/white]
